Your little glowing Wii is trying to tell you something: there's a new system update waiting in the ether packing plenty of Internet Channel goodness.

The update brings parental controls to your Wii and an updated version of the Opera browser which can downloaded free from the Shop Channel.

So besides giving you control over the kiddies surf habits, Nintendo has tossed in plenty of new/improved features including several navigation enhancements and built-in Yahoo!

CVG points out that, as of today, the final version of the Wii Opera browser is available for download.

the company is offering a free beta version of its opera web browser beginning friday, december 22.

the opera web browser will continue to be available for free until june 2007.

after that time, the wii shop channel will charge 500 wii points to download. just enjoying my fun, sweet-ass console that didn't cost as much as a new pc…anywhoo…opera browser is great for anyone that doesn't already own a computer.
